What to expect

Sunday Mornings at GTC ...Kids edition

We have 5 kids classrooms to best serve the needs of your children. Every kids ministry volunteer is screened and trained to be in our kids spaces. You will know who a kids ministry leader is by their fluorescent nametag and t-shirt. 


Ages 0-2: Nursery

Ages 3-4: Pre K Room

Grades JK & SK: GTKids

Grades 1-4:  Prayer Room

Grades 5-6: 5/6 Classroom


Your kids are welcome in our spaces! Check in at our main kids registration desk and receive a name tag for both your child(ren) and a matching parent tag. We then encourage you to worship with your child(ren) and they will be dismissed from the main worship service. 


Parents with children under 6 should walk their kids to their classroom. Due to safety and screening of adults in contact with minors we do not permit unscreened adults to stay with their children. If your child requires you to be with them you are welcome to use a service activity bin and have them sit with you in service. 

 

Pick Up your children after the service by showing your matching tag at pickup.

Dear Families,


Easter isn’t merely an ancient story disconnected from our modern reality. The story of Easter reaches into our lives and changes the very core of who we are! In our Created New series, we will journey through the story of redemption—a story that began at creation and the fall, climaxed at the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, and continues through all who walk in new identities as God’s children!


With Easter approaching, how are you feeling? Are you excited to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus? Are you overwhelmed by the length of your to-do list? Or do you feel a mix of both emotions?


I encourage you to slow down and let the truth of these words sink in: “When anyone lives in Christ, the new creation has come. The old is gone! The new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Through Jesus, we are made new. Our former fallbacks—pride, reliance on works, self-promotion, self-justification—are part of the old. They are gone! Through Jesus, we are free to live surrendered to the will of God, in the safety of His perfect love, no longer having to prove ourselves to anyone. Now that’s a reason to celebrate!
