What to expect

Sunday Mornings at GTC ...Kids edition

We have 5 kids classrooms to best serve the needs of your children. Every kids ministry volunteer is screened and trained to be in our kids spaces. You will know who a kids ministry leader is by their fluorescent nametag and t-shirt.

Ages 0-2: Nursery

Ages 3-4: Pre K Room

Grades JK & SK: GTKids

Grades 1-4 Prayer Room

Grades 5-6: 5/6 Classroom

Your kids are welcome in our spaces! Check in at our main kids registration desk and receive a name tag for both your child(ren) and a matching parent tag. We then encourage you to worship with your child(ren) and they will be dismissed from the main worship service.

Parents with children under 6 should walk their kids to their classroom. Due to safety and screening of adults in contact with minors we do not permit unscreened adults to stay with their children. If your child requires you to be with them you are welcome to use a service activity bin and have them sit with you in service.

Pick Up your children after the service by showing your matching tag at pickup.

If you have questions please reach out to our children's pastor, Pastor Rachel via email: mailto:rachel@gtcarnprior.ca

Hanging out with Jesus

Can you imagine what it would be like to hang out with Jesus? Can you imagine getting to be near Him, to observe Him healing those who are sick, and to listen to the sound of His voice as He teaches?

There is no one like Jesus! Early in His ministry, Jesus called a handful followers to travel with Him and learn from Him. In other instances, He spoke with those who had been cast aside or were despised by those around them. Who else but Jesus could show them just the right amount of love, care, and patience?

We know from this month’s Word of Wonder—John 3:16–17—that God sent Jesus to show the world His love. Part of that plan was for Jesus to die for our sin and to rise again. But, before those important acts took place, Jesus had a lot of work to do in the lives of those here on earth. Through His work in the Gospels, we get a glimpse of the tenderness and favor our heavenly Father shows toward us.

This month, your family is invited to hang out with Jesus. With each coming week, you’ll see through God’s big story how Jesus calls us, cares for us, and is able to heal us. He came to seek us and to save us. He came to reach out His hand toward us because He loves us.

God Speaks

Relationships can’t happen without communication, and our God is relational. He knows us and wants to be known by us. He is the God who speaks! Throughout His story, we see our Father talking to His kids. During our God Speaks series, we’ll explore four Old Testament stories of God communicating with His people. Whether in an audible voice or a gentle whisper, or through the advice of others, God speaks. And His words are always worth listening to!

We invite your family to join us this month. Together, let’s tune our ears to the voice of our loving Father in expectation that He will speak!
